About the Course
Power yoga also known as Vinyasa yoga is a fast-paced style of yoga focused on building strength, flexibility and endurance in the body through high-impact yoga postures. The class is held in a moderately heated room to promote flexibility and detoxification. Presence, grounding and focus are
the three foundational elements in Power Yoga. Sequences are fluid and faster with an emphasis on creating a moving meditation by linking the movement to the breath. Sequences are designed with longer holds and challenging poses to build strength while calming the mind. This class is suitable for the more experienced yogi who wants to energize their practice.
Denise completed her 200- hour Yoga teacher training through Uplifted Teaching Training and is a member of Yoga Alliance. Denise’s practice continues to evolve through continuing to participate in workshops as well as enjoying practicing with her colleagues. Her teachings focus on incorporating
postures and breathing techniques to quiet the mind and relax the body to create a moving meditation. Each class focuses on each student’s individual level while creating a safe and nurturing environment.
Special attention is paid to deep relaxation to revive the body, mind and spirit.
