DiversaFit is truly a community fitness studio.
Think of us as a wellness Co-op of fitness instructors, educators, coaches, and community members. Each person affiliated with of our Co-op has a unique gift which we embrace wholeheartedly.

We believe that kindness, empathy, gratitude, patience, and LOVE are key factors in creating a healthy and welcoming environment. We pride ourselves on making sure everyone feels comfortable, accepted, and above all safe when they walk through our doors.

Our members are kind and considerate so you never have to worry about feeling left out and our team members are some of the most wonderful, passionate, and selfless human beings on the planet.

Our studio is quaint and bright, while also feeling spacious and warm. When you walk in we want you to feel relaxed. This is one of the reasons we don't use machines. Machines can be intimidating to some people. But don't worry, we have plenty of fitness equipment.
You'll be amazed at just how much you can do without machines!

Jennifer Nuzzo
Owner/Personal Trainer
Jennifer uses a wide array of fitness styles to help her clients reach their wellness goals. She believes that variety is the key to a successful fitness program and that fun and laughter can be intertwined into every workout. Jennifer learned the true importance of making fitness fun during her career as an educator. After teaching physical education and health in the Middletown Public School system for 8 years, Jennifer acquired her personal training certificate in 2012. Since acquiring her personal training certificate, she has opened two fitness studios and expanded her business to incorporate online, virtual, in person, at home, and corporate fitness programs. In her spare time, Jennifer leads outdoor group activities for members of the community, teaches beginner pickleball lessons, volunteers for local charities, and enjoys spending quality time with her friends and family. Jennifer holds a masters degree in education, a bachelors degree in psychology, a Connecticut professional teaching certification in Physical Education and Health, and is CPR and AED certified. She has also coached numerous sports for local community organizations, the City of Middletown, The City of New Haven, the Town of Wallingford, and at Choate Rosemary Hall just to name a few. She was also involved in Project Adventure, Outward Bound, and a multitude of other enrichment programs during her tenure as a teacher. Jennifer is truly all about uniting communities through movement, kindness, and compassion.
Melanie Tarr
Healing Arts/Life Coach​​​​​
Melanie is a certified holistic life coach offering 1-on-1 sessions and group classes in the areas of meditation, self-healing, and personal empowerment. She has been a Reiki practitioner since 2008 and, in addition to individualized Reiki healing sessions, she uses her ability to channel healing frequencies and divinely guided messages of unconditional love to create a safe and supportive space for all who attend her Sunday Morning Meditations. Please consider attending whether you are looking to build a personal meditation practice, reconnect to your body and conscious mind, or begin to develop your intuition. Melanie is happy to help others survey their options and she works alongside a talented community of holistic practitioners and wellness experts. Jen Harris
Nutrition Coach/Personal Trainer
Jen Harris has over 10 years of fitness instruction experience, where she was mostly involved in teaching kickboxing and kettlebells as well as other strength training classes. She assisted in several self defense seminars and is leveled up in Krav Maga. She is also a Certified Nutrition Coach and owns her own business. She helps people achieve a healthy lifestyle through sustainability and balance. Coach Harris is very passionate about fitness, nutrition and the education of it. She absolutely loves to have fun and help people along their journey!! She hopes to be an amazing role model for her 13 year old daughter.
Kristie Miller
Group Fitness/Personal Trainer
Kristie Miller has been a fitness professional for over 10 years specializing in senior fitness with an an emphasis on core strength, endurance, and corrective exercise. She enjoys kickboxing, hiking, and kayaking her spare time.
Toni McGovern
Yoga/Pilates Instructor
Toni believes in healing the whole body starting from the inside out. After practicing yoga for over 20 years, Toni decided to incorporate her yoga into her health coaching practice. Toni also has a love for essential oils and incorporates them in her practice and daily life.
Kaitlyn Jones
Acupuncturist​​​​
Dr. Kaitlyn Jones is passionate about using her hands on techniques and her emphasis on holistic health to empower patients to the next level of living a healthier, happier life. She believes that the best thing one can do for their health and longevity is protecting their nervous system through chiropractic adjustments and their composition through acupuncture treatments. Her education includes a Bachelors of Science in Athletic Training from Kean University as well as a dual degree from the University of Bridgeport for Chiropractic and Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupuncture. In her free time, Dr. Kaitlyn enjoys relaxing, hiking, and traveling.
