Welcoming Community

Finding Inspiration in Every Turn

DiversaFit is truly a community fitness studio.

Think of us as a wellness Co-op of fitness instructors, educators, coaches, and community members. Each person affiliated with of our Co-op has a unique gift which we embrace wholeheartedly.

Our divers-ity is what makes us so special!

We believe that kindness, empathy, gratitude, patience, and LOVE are key factors in creating a healthy and welcoming environment. We pride ourselves on making sure everyone feels comfortable, accepted, and above all safe when they walk through our doors.

Our members are kind and considerate so you never have to worry about feeling left out and our team members are some of the most wonderful, passionate, and selfless human beings on the planet.

Our studio is quaint and bright, while also feeling spacious and warm. When you walk in we want you to feel relaxed. This is one of the reasons we don't use machines. Machines can be intimidating to some people. But don't worry, we have plenty of  fitness equipment.

You'll be amazed at just how much you can do without machines!

All in all we consider ourselves a pillar of our community and strive to  unite people through movement, kindness, and compassion

      Reflexologist/Hypnotist Specialist/ Energy Medicine Practitioner

Julie supports individuals in navigating the effects of stress that impact their well-being - physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Her work focuses on gently guiding clients from a state of chronic stress toward greater balance and ease, helping them understand the mind-body connection and how thoughts, including subconscious patterns, influence physical and emotional health. She works with clients to cultivate mindfulness and awareness of how stress is held in the body and how shifting the stress response can support greater resilience and well-being. In her private practice based in Guilford, Connecticut, with additional locations, Julie helps clients develop a practical, drug-free self-care toolbox for managing stress and supporting overall wellness. She draws from complementary health modalities including hand and foot reflexology, guided relaxation, mindfulness practices, energy healing, AcuDetox (NADA protocol auricular ear acupuncture) essential oils, and hypnosis. These approaches support the body's natural shift from the stress-driven fight-or-flight response to the rest-and-digest Relaxation response - a state of balance. The tools she teaches may be used alongside traditional medical care or as standalone wellness practices. Julie's approach is informed by decades of experience in both clinical and community settings. She began her career as a nurse in 1975, working in critical care, Labor and Delivery, and office-based nursing. Earlier in her business career, Julie also brought her private wellness practice into hospital and community settings, working with pediatric hematology/oncology patients and their families, individuals living with Alzheimer's disease, and adults across the lifespan. Her work has also included health and wellness fairs, employee wellness, and private events, allowing her to share stress-reduction education and supportive care in a variety of environments. Outside her practice, Julie values time spent with family and friends and finds restoration in the outdoors. She enjoys hiking, kayaking, biking, spending time in nature, and a good game of pickleball.

Dr. Sam McMullen is passionate about providing high quality care for his clients to take them from injured to thriving. For this reason, he takes a multi-modal treatment approach to physical therapy by combining the right corrective exercises, stretches, and manual therapy at the right time. He values collaborating with other healthcare and fitness professionals to take a team approach for optimizing care. Sam began his healthcare career working as an Athletic Trainer in the collegiate setting. He found the rehabilitation part of the day to be the most engaging, so he went on to get his Doctorate in Physical Therapy and specialized in orthopedics. He takes a unique approach to the final phases of rehabilitation by getting out of the clinic and onto the sports field, gym, and home environment with his clients. This allows them to achieve their final goals in a way that sets his practice above and beyond the rest. As an athletic trainer, he understands the injury prevention and performance side of long-term health. For all these reasons, he founded Outlet Health Solutions to give clients the experience of healthcare as it was intended to be. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He is an avid runner and outdoor enthusiast.
