Functional Fitness Training
What is functional fitness?
Well Google describes it perfectly, functional fitness is a type of exercise that supports your everyday life. It includes movements such as walking, pushing, pulling, bending, squatting, lunging, and core.
These exercises improve functional strength.
Functional fitness is something that is rooted in all of us.

The examples I use with clients are getting up and down from a chair (squatting), opening a car door (pulling/rowing), closing a car door (pushing/push up), stepping out to hit a pickleball (lunging), and sitting up in bed (using your core/sit up). It's as simple as that! I mean you can certainly lift 100s of pounds over your head if you like, but I'm not quite sure how that will help you if you have an office job. I guess you can brag about it at the water cooler if that's your thing. Bet you'll be asked to change a lot water jugs.
Functional fitness will help you achieve a happy, healthy life and you'll be able to change those water jugs at the office when the office Hercules is out sick.
